Happy 2026AD

Happy 2026AD

Welcome to 2026AD

We are grateful for your ongoing custom and support. BIKESEVEN Cycle Service continues as a family run business; during the last year we have transferred the CubebyBikeseven centre to Longtown in order to offer a stronger service, sticking to traditional values and a friendly customer offer. Now together as a small team of Cytech Certified Servicing Experts we continue to enthusiastically distribute quality cycles, parts, and accessories serving you in Cumbria,Northumberland, and Southern Scotland. It is our joy to do so.

The period of past five years has been a turbulent one. Since we opened our doors seventeen years ago we have had to change with the times in order to continue being able to offer you innovative cycle products and spear-heading developments. We aim to be the best. With all the changes in the cycle industry  we are particularly grateful to our partners and suppliers, understanding our mission and moving in the same direction.

As we endeavour to match the BIKESEVEN service to your needs  we constantly develop and train in order to move forward. As Shimano Service Centre and SRAM partners we enhance our offer by training with other partners like Bosch, Fazua, and Mahle; systems that are used by our  expert bicycle suppliers like  Cube, Frog, Gazelle, Kona, Ridgeback, VelodeVille, and UTO. The best offers in cycling for you.Considering all the elements of change we constantly look for ways to learn. One of our colleagues mentioned some of the key aspects how shops like ours and their customers can worked towards a sustainable future in a time when faceless internet monoliths and mega discounters are attempting to challenge the principles outlined above. It was suggested to treat spending as a way to shape the future of cycling. You can see bikes and kit as pure commodities for transport, always hunting the lowest number, or you can see spending as advocacy to keep a local support network alive. Money spent online vanishes into a warehouse and a spreadsheet - Money spent in a good shop supports workshop, technicians, fitters, enthusiastic supporters…  Here are five bits of advice:

1. Buy the big-ticket items from a trusted certified local shop

2. Book servicing instead of trying to do everything alone

3. Use the free advice, fit, and support on offer

4. Put routine spending through the shop’s till, not just the big buys

5. Treat spending as a way to shape the future of cycling (well said Velorunner!).
